Church of St. John the Baptist in Krotoszyn was raised to the dignity of a minor basilica on June 23, 2019. The temple was built by Jan Rozdrażewski in the years 1592-1597. The church was restored after a fire in 1774. It is a late Gothic building, with three naves and a tower. It has very rich interior furnishings from the 17th and 18th centuries. In the three-story main altar there is a copy of Rubens' famous painting "The Descent from the Cross". On the profiled chancel beam there is a Gothic passion group from the end of the 15th century. The church has as many as 11 side altars. In the southern aisle there is a Renaissance tombstone of the founder of the church, Jan Rozdrażewski, who died in 1600.

My Church. From baptism onwards, I received all the sacraments here and during the years I was an altar boy here. I managed to return to this parish in my old age, and not only that, I have a beautiful view of the basilica from the windows.
